Glory in the Redeemer
Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:10-11)
Beloved,
How marvelous is the good news of Jesus Christ! We were separated from God and under condemnation,
but we have been brought back to God through the Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah prophesied about the righteous, suffering servant that was going to come to bear the iniquities of sinful man. This servant came to make many to be accounted righteous. Jesus Christ suffered for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous to bring us to God (1 Peter 3:18). He was punished as unrighteous so that the unrighteous could be accounted righteous.
There is nothing more worthy of praise and glory than our Redeemer!! Jesus should get our highest praise, our highest honor, and our highest devotion. If our hearts are not stirred with a deep affection for the Lord Jesus Christ, then we do not understand how desperate our situation was without him. According to Isaiah, without Jesus standing in our place we would have been:
· forced to carry our own sorrows
· stricken and smitten by God
· wounded for our transgressions
· crushed for our iniquities
· oppressed and afflicted
· forced to bear our own sins
· punished as a transgressor
· chastised by God
Consider all that we would have had to bear without a Redeemer, then rejoice and glory in your Redeemer who took you place!!!
I will glory in my Redeemer
Whose priceless blood has ransomed me
Mine was the sin that drove the bitter nails
And hung Him on that judgment tree
I will glory in my Redeemer
Who crushed the power of sin and death
My only Savior before the holy Judge
The Lamb who is my righteousness
The Lamb who is my righteousness

Our Redeemer deserves the highest praise because He paid the highest price. Beloved, make it your life’s ambition to glory in your Redeemer.
